TRAINEE DESIGN ENGINEER
The third week of my internship at the Planning Directorate in the C&W Secretariat was
characterized by intensive training on ETABS, a software essential for structural analysis and
design. I gained a solid foundation in modeling, analysis, and design processes using this software.
Furthermore, the lecture by the Director of P&D provided a broad perspective on the Planning
Directorate's operations. Seeking guidance on laterally loaded piles analysis reinforced my
knowledge in foundation engineering
QA AND QC TRAINEE ENGINEER
The second week of my internship at RR&MTI was characterized by a diverse range of
experiences, from soil testing to aggregate and bitumen assessment. I gained practical exposure to
critical tests like CBR, Liquid Limit, Angularity Number, Flakiness Index, Flash Point, and Fire
Point. These experiences underscored the significance of accurate testing and quality control in
road construction and maintenance. Additionally, the insights gained during the meeting with the
Physical Section in charge broadened my understanding of the institutional and management
aspects of BRS and RR&MTI. As my internship progresses, I look forward to further building on
these experiences and deepening my knowledge in the field of transportation engineering and
research

The first week of my internship at BRS was a comprehensive and enriching experience. It provided
me with hands-on exposure to concrete testing, material quality assessment, geotechnical testing,
and the importance of adhering to industry standards. These experiences have deepened my
understanding of civil engineering practices and the critical role of material quality and soil
properties in construction projects. As I look forward to the upcoming weeks of my internship, I
am enthusiastic about further expanding my knowledge and practical skills in this dynamic fielD.
